Q: Music stops when display turns off.

I upgraded to the latest software.  Now the FMtuner is not working, and the music goes off when the screen goes black.  I cannot find the setting to fix this or any other solution.

This is usually a sign that your headphones are not plugged all the way in.  Make sure the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Nano and no silver from the plug can still be seen.

If you are 100% positive that the earbuds are all the way in, double check to make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris and/or damage.

This is not a headphone problem guys.....this seems to be an OS update problem.
Now, I am also faciing the same problem, you have any solution.

I although know a workaround but I NEED a solution.

Also, do Apple guys read this forum??Do they have any idea about customer dissatisfaction???

I can second this, we have 2 ipod nano 6th gen's which previously worked with our stereo and now both will pause when the screen goes black except intermittently once in a blue moon when it randomly works (currently both do not work so just a little PO)

With me happened the same thing. I got kind a solution. If you are running, walking you can combine the music with the nike fitness in your Ipod. When you are running or walking with the fitness app the ipod does not turns off, realizing that you are doing a movement. This is the only solution that I found. Everything else didn´t work out. I tried to change headphone, reset, etc.

I hope it solves in a certain way your problem. It is not the best solution, but it works fine with me.
