Sep 20, 2015 4:18 PM in response to par2eagleby Chris DM,I had the same problem. After looking at various ways to reset/reprogram the remote, I finally pulled out some hand sanitizer and cleaned the remote. Chances are my 8 year old left a trace of peanut butter around the button and it jammed. It's been working fine since I cleared out the goop.

Nov 17, 2015 12:53 PM in response to Chris DMby intohouse,Wow...this worked...my apple remote looked completely clean...obviously not...
Took about a teaspoon of Purell, wiped it heavily around the big circle for 30 seconds...dried the excess off with some tissues...and about 30 seconds later it worked...and my children now think I am a hero
