Q: Why do you need code and password on every step you make on your apple devices?
I have just bought an appletv and I am trying to ajust it to my iPad 3G and my PC (winXP). It seems complicated and demands a lot of id, codes, passwords, usernames this business has invented. I must admit it makes me more suspicious than secure - this creates insecurity and endless complications. Who is spying on all my passwords, ids, codes, usernames etc?
To understand something called AirPlay you have to go through these gates and when done you do not understand what place you have entered.
One of my reasons for buying this device is to have good access to a huge collection of images on my PC.
Itunes seems to be designed for all but images and an invitation to put my image folders (more than 100.000 images) into itunes has given no result so far.
Can somebody tell me if I can access my PC directly on appleTV - or is it only a device designed for the iTunes music industry?
Is AirPlay something you can use for direct access to your PC?
Is it possible, convenient or necessary to make a "jailbreak" on appleTV to use it without iTunes complications?
