Q: scanner not copying punctuation

For some obscure reason my scanner copies the page perfectly but has decided not to copy the punctuation on certain lines?

 

Why so? How so?! Help!

    I guess you mean you are using optical character recognition software (OCR) and it doesn't catch the punctuation?

    Have you tried increasing the scan resolution? or, changing settings in the software?

    You should probably consult the Help, FAQ, or Forums of the people who make your Scanner or the OCR software you are using.
