Q: MacBook Air mid 2012 10.8.3 doesn't recopy on TV through ATV2 5.2. Icons, menus, ... are all accessible on the mac but the wheel cannot stop turning for 15 sec and comes back to the original screen (Mac). Same network, Airplay active & works with iPhone5.

Hi,

AirPlay active, same wifi network, ATV2 works fine with my iPhone 5.

ATV2 is iOS 5.2

Any idea?

Apple TV (2nd generation), iOS 5.1.1

    Hello Phil,

I found an article on troubleshooting Airplay Mirroring called About AirPlay Mirroring in OS X Mountain Lion found here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404. This section in particular should help out in this situation:

    Firewall security settings

If you use the firewall, make sure the following firewall security options have been set to allow AirPlay Mirroring to work:

    1. Choose Apple menu () > System Preferences.
    2. Click Security & Privacy, and then click Firewall.
    3. Click the lock icon to unlock it if it's locked, then type an administrator name and password.
    4. Click Firewall Options.
    5. Uncheck (deselect) “Block all incoming connections” checkbox.
    6. Select (check) the “Automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections” checkbox.

    All the best,

    Sterling
