For Sequence properties right click the Sequence icon in the Browser and select Item Properties.
Looking at the clip properties there must be a mis-match as that size will not work with any FCE easy setups/sequences without crunching them in manner.

Is this what you are looking for. I export from I Movie to an m4v file.
Tracks: 3V, 2A
Vid Rate: 25 fps
Pixel Aspect: PAL - CCIR 601
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)
Audio: 2 Outputs
Aud Rate: 48.0 Khz
Aud Format: 32-Bit Floating Point

Not quite what I was looking for.
I think the core of the trouble is the m4v export from iMovie.
Try another export as a Quicktime file 25 FPS DV-PAL.
Make sure FCE Easy Setup is DV-PAL to match, Easy Setups govern the Sequence properties.
Sequence and clips should match is all details or you are up for needless rendering.

I will try this. Do you have a suggestion as to the best format when exporting from FCE for my application. Hard drive storage and playback through a network using network STB. I will let you know how it goes.
