Actually, what I meant to say was that my iTunes has all of my music and podcasts, but my iPod is blank, and when I plug it in, iTunes stops working.
I've tried updating iTunes to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks, turingtest. ive discovered that my ipod classic is now worth about as much as a rock of comprable weight.
