I am trying everything that is on here about how to transfer my songs in itunes to a memory card but nothing is working.   I am on a Mac comuter and have been trying to do this for a month.  Is it even possible to do?  I get the names of the songs but not the actul music.

    What did you try?

Did you drag the songs to the card?

Maybe it's the memory card. How is it formatted? Have you ever written anything on it with this Mac?

I have no idea how it is formatted as it is brand new.   I have never used the mac to do anything with this card except trying to transfer itunes

If it brand new, then clearly you ave never written on it before; this answers my second question.

You can determine how it is formatted by selecting it on your desktop or Finder sidebar and performing a "Get Info" command on it (command-I). If it formatted as NTFS, as some memory cards and sticks are, that would explain your problem; OS X can read NTFS but not write it.

Even if the memory device is not formatted as NTFS, it might still be read-only if the little write-protect switch it set to lock out writing.
