Has anyone experienced issues with their SMS search after the upgrade to iOS 6.1.3. I can't seem to find SMSes anymore via the seach at the top of the SMS app. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Me!  I just added my own post before I found yours.  I have tried everything I can think of short of restoring the phone.d

Define "everything I can think of" and why not restore?  Did you do a  phone reset (press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears)?

Indeed I did the phone reset, closed all apps with the double click of home button (task manager), turned spot light apps off leaving only messages.

Restoring is time consuming and many other posts have said that it did not solve the issue.

Looking for insight as to why it is not searching.  Many have commented that it is since the update to 6.1.3.

    Thanks,

Yes, an agonizing 15 minutes of your life.

    What posts?

Many have commented that it is since the update to 6.1.3.

Define "many" and how that relates to the >50 million who updated without problems?  How "many" of those with the problem have phones that were previously jailbroken?

This all boils down to whether you actually want to fix your problem.  In the time you took to post here, you could have restored several times.

Yes, I recently had this problem with my iPhone 4. When I went to search for text message/imessage contacts inside the "messages" app, I could not find the contacts even though they were never deleted and available in the list.

    To fix this problem:

    1) Change you iphone language to: Korean and then back to English.

               a) Settings -> General -> International -> Language -> 한국의 (Korean)

    2) Make sure you take screen shots of the pages/process so you know how to go back and change the language settings back to English when the iPhone is set to Korean.

    3) The message search will work again after you do this.

    Best,

Any idea why this works?  Will only changing to Korean do the trick or I can change to any other language?

    Thanks,

    Debbie
