I have jsut been into the settings which was accessable via the setting button in the car.

My Sat Nav settings are as followers:-

To find out if your system is ready for a new software update you need to look up the Software Version (example below: 5.0.1) displayed on the configuration screen of your Hyundai full map navigation system.

Looking up and comparing the Software Version

To look up the “Software Version” of your Hyundai navigation system you need to look first for the configuration screen of your system.

    1. Switch on your navigation system and wait until the system is completely booted.

    2. Press Setup key for a minimum of 5 seconds (
) and the configuration of your system will be displayed.

    3. Look up and/or note the Software Version.

    1. 4. If your current software version is lower than 5.1.3 you cannot update to the latest version via this web site, Software Version 5.1.3 is only available at your Hyundai dealer. This is required before any further software updates are possible.

If your current software version is equal or higher than 5.1.3 click here to download the latest Software Version 7.1.2 to your PC and unzip it afterwards to the root directory of an empty USB stick with a minimum capacity of 1GB.

Plug in the USB stick to your Hyundai Navigation device which will automatically detect the software update on the USB stick.

Accept the update with OK and ensure that the engine is running while the Software is updated. This process will take a couple of minutes.

Once the software has updated and the system has automatically rebooted press “cancel” on the pop up window to finish the update process. Remove the USB-stick.

Regarding iphones 5's bluetooth issue with car bluetooth,I am now on my 2nd phone and when i make a call via bluetooth the other person can barely hear me ( which defeats the point of bluetooth connectivity in the car) My previous phone was a Nokia N97 which worked perfectly. The greed of Apple making sharing of files via bluetooth impossible is just about bearable, but this isn't.Has anyone got/heard a fix for this? My email is: davedicko1701@yahoo.com

    Please let me know.

I had just renamed my iphone (as read on this forum)when I got a call from a James in apples Technical Support,he adised in updating the cars bluetooth firmware, but before I did that he advised to delete any old pairings on my cars bluetooth except the iphone as he said that iphones can be "funny"about trying to operate on a system that has had other pairings.I did as he asked and voila!, my callers could hear me OK.I hope the deletion solution solves yours and anybody elses problems regarding bluetooth connectivity. It seems that Apple products can be a bit picky, much kudos to James in Apples Technical support for his unusual solution...............Dave.

    Hey Billy,

I have same car, same year, same model. The hands free works fine, you can tell the car who to call. You can even access Siri the same way you would normally. She can read, send texts, get directions, everything. You just need to hold the home button normally.

When I first got the car at the end on Jan. we were still with ios6. At that point, I could send and read text messages without Siri, through the hands free. Once we updated, it stopped. I called nissan support, they were aware and were working to fix it. Other than that, it works fine. I like that even if I have to go through my phone, Siri talks to me through the car stereo. I love it. Great car too!

I have BMW E90 connected to IPhone 5 everything works fine but sometimes when i try making a phone call it suddenly disconnects and then connects again causing the call to be transfered to iphone, any suggestion i already deleted all the old paired devices and renamed my iphone and the problem persists.

    Hi all

My IPhone5 and my Holden Bluetooth have not been working since I got the phone. I could make calls but for incoming neither party could hear anything. Surprise surprise! I answered an incomining call today and it worked. Could it be that finally someone has done something to fix the problem?

    March 30, 2013.

Michigan 57 degrees.  Took my BMW Motorcycle out.  Iphone 5 with software version 6.1.3.  Garmin Navigator IV GPS.  Schuberth SRC (Rider Communication System).

Erased/Deleted previous iPhone 5 pairing.  Re-paired.  Received an initial call from my wife.  Worked great.  Out for a ride.  Several friends and my wife called and I never was notified or heard a ring.  All calls went to voicemail. Again deleted pairings, rebooted, clicked my heels x 3, renamed iPhone, repaired.  Call came in and worked just fine.  Then all further attemps to receive a call.....Never come in.  No notification, ring, etc....

    D O E S   N O T   W O R K ! ! !

    :-(

    Very disappointing....

    Greg

My iPhone 4s switches "audio source" between iphone, speaker, jawbone and mercedes bluetooth randomly.  The only solution so far is to switch it back to the prefered device manually.  for example I was on a call using the iphone speaker audio source and when I opened the car door it switched to the mercedes bluetooth audio source. Is there a setting to stop the automatic switching?

Truly beezar!  Someone on the forum said to change the name on the phone (>settings>general>name).  I did that and now my Honda Pilot auto-recoginzes the phone.   Total nonsense but success!  Good luck.

Hiya its Dave from Bradford England,I had issues with the Bluetooth at first,I think it was an Apple customer service rep called James, I think, who said the iphone 5 doesn't like pairing and working on a system that has had previous pairings.I followed his advice and deleted all previous pairings and repaired and renamed,no problem so far! I don't know why it should work but it did,I hope it works for you as it did for me................Dave.

I've got very similar issues with my iPhone 5 and my 2013 Chevy Volt.  I documented some of them here:

    http://steveriggins.net/2013/03/04/apple-and-chevrolet-need-to-go-out-to-lunch/

There are more since then, like pressing pause on the console and having the iPhone go into low power mode, which disconnects from the Volt, causing it to switch to XM, which I do not subscribe to, and send ads my way for their service.

    Unacceptable.

I agree with you entirely, I have been using an old Nokia for many years without any problems, other than it had to be manually connected once in the car - but sounded perfect when talking.  I have been using an HTC does connect automatically - sound perfect.  I stupidly decided to get an iPhone 5 as everyone says they are the bees-knees.

To be honest, I am very disappointed with the phone.  Yes it has good points, but to use it in my year old Peugeot 308 top of the range car it is total rubbish.  It paired ok, but when in use, it will not drop the line when finished, it jams the radio up, and the sound quality is muffled and distorted - so much so it could be a 1938 Crystal radio in use!!!

Since Bluetooth in cars is supposed to be safer, I am at a lose why such an expensive phone will not work, and in fact it is downright dangerous, as I am fiddling with radio controls and not the steering wheel stick control as it does not seem to recognise what I want to do.

I am now reinstating my HTC phone into the car when I am out and about and all my contacts now will have two phone numbers for me, a real backward step as far as I am concerning  Plus having to pay for 2 contracts!!!.

Apple I am not impressed, I was a new customer of yours, but I will not be buying another Apple phone from you, and I am stuck with this one for the next 24 months... Yuk!!!

Although my problem has been solved I continue to read these posts.  Months ago Infiniti came out with an upgrade to their bluetooth software that fixed my problem 100%.

When I had the problem I was blaming Apple.  But since the upgrade by Infiniti the phone works perfectly in the car.  That leads me to agree with the statements that Apple is in the right with upgraded software and the other hardware manufacturers have not kept up with the bluetooth software standards.  Instead of ******** about Apple go to your manufacturer and complain to them.  Let them upgrade their software and all will be good.

    Thank you Infiniti!
