I do not have a "profile" link between Acessibility and Reset so I cannot check the settings. Is there any other way to turn off pass code lock while using the device in a location I know to be safe, like my home?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

If you don't have a Profile installed, you should be able to turn off the passcode in Setttings > General > Passcode Lock.

What happens when you tap Turn Passcode Off and then enter your passcode when prompted?

    Please ignore.

Note that you must enter the passcode to turn it off for security reasons.

Also, are you connected to a corporate Exchange account, i.e. for work email, calendar, etc?
