Q: Power Point question on adding a lot of pictures

I am working on a Power Point project on my Mac.  I have the 2011 ver:14.3.4

All I want to do is move about 100 pictures from a file into the blank slides on the left automatic so I do not have to do it one at a time.  All I need it to be is a slide show.  Gone YouTube cannot find one that will work.  Can anyone help?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're all users here.

100 images really isn't a lot to simply drag into place.

Creating and debugging an automated Applescript to do it would take me far longer!

If you only want to display photos sequentially you can do that without PowerPoint.

For ease of management, put all the slides into a single folder.

In Finder, open the folder, and Select All (Command A)

Press the <spacebar> to bring up the instant slide-show box.

To make the slides display full screen, use the 'maximize' arrows.

Press the Play arrow to begin.

iPhoto has slide-show capabilities, with much more control over the appearance possible, including music and special effects.

iMovie also has the ability to create a slideshow from still images.

    Thanks kostby,

However, I'm putting together a program for a class.  I found on YouTube that PowerPoint 2010 they have a button for making a "Photo Album".  But in PowerPoint 2011 no button that I can find.  Do not know if I am just missing it.

Also I will not be able to use my own computer at the school, because of "IT" problems.  You are only able to bring a DVD or Flash Dirve to be used on their system.

The school will run any PowerPoint programs.

Do not understand why they would drop the ablum button.

    Cody,

Sorry, have been out of town.

I was able to get the Automator to the set up in the picture you showed and I was able to  save it to my desktop.  However when I open it I can not seem to import or choose the pictures I need.  I am missing a step or two.  Can you advise.

    Thanks

    John

    Cody,

Played around and after setting up the Automator to the desk top I found out the next step is to

    - Click on "Run"

    - Then picked on the pictures I wanted

    - They were imported and then I saved them

Now I can import the all the pictures I need and set up the way I want.

    Thanks

    John
