Q: Absolutely useless response

The apple response was absolutely useless.  Apple needs to provide a better response.  I can't conduct business this way.

Has anyone gotten a better response or solution to the jumpy trackpad operation?

There are a few ways to fix this problem:

    1. You might have some dirt and debris inside your computer. If anything is stuck in the Trackpad there are some ways to take it out. If you have a removable battery, take out the battery and then blow in the Trackpad. If you have a non-removable battery, you can keep pressing down on the sides of the Trackpad, hold it down, and blow in.

    2. The Trackpad might have leveled down making the mouse stay clicked. The only way to do this is if you have a removable battery. Remove the battery and then push the Trackpad up from underneath. If you have a non-removable battery, take your Mac to the Genius Bar.

    3. Your battery could be swelling making the Trackpad move. To check the condition of your battery, hold down the option key and click on the battery icon in the menu bar. If the condition is anything other than Normal, take your Mac to an Apple Store to get it replaced.

    4. Do a SMC reset. To learn how to do that, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

    5. Do a NVRAM/PRAM reset. To learn how to do that, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

    6. If nothing above worked than you should take your Mac to an Apple Store.
