Q: Is DDR3 1333 MHz RAM working in Mac mini Mid 2010

Hi there!

I'm living in a place where DDR3 1066 MHz cannot be found, and where online sellers do not want to deliver merchandise (Lao PDR, in fact).

I'm wondering if I can use DDR3 1333 MHz RAM, which I can find downtown, since it's physically the same 204 pin form factor.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

It may work, but you may have problems. OS X is special about RAM, and if you install unsupported memory, it may stop working. Theoretically, your computer should use DDR3 1333 MHz RAM with 1066 MHz speed, but I have seen other cases where this caused kernel panics, so I don't recommend you to do that
