May 31, 2013 1:00 PM in response to SteveW99by Kappy,Do all of you have iTunes running and have enabled sharing your libraries via iTunes preferences? For Home Sharing to work each computer must have iTunes running from my understanding of it, and the libraries must be shared, I believe.

May 31, 2013 1:06 PM in response to Kappyby SteveW99,Yes they do. And I know everything must be set up because each of the MacBooks as well as the new iMac can see each other's shared libraries. It's just the iPad which seems to be having the issue seeing the MacBook libraries (those are the ones with separate Apple ID's).
Perhaps I'm stretching the limits of Home Sharing but it just seems weird that I cannot see on the iPad whle logged in using my Apple ID that which I can see on the iMac (and Apple TV) while logged in using my Apple ID.
Thank you.

May 31, 2013 1:20 PM in response to SteveW99by Kappy,I'm afraid I'm of little help, then. I don't know if having different libraries based on different Apple IDs should matter. It seems that would obviate the idea of "sharing." You do need to use the same configuration information on each computer's Home Sharing setup. But I really haven't a clue why the problem seems limited in your case to just your iPad.
What version of iOS is installed on your iPad? You must have 4.3 or later to use Home Sharing.

May 31, 2013 1:28 PM in response to Kappyby SteveW99,I agree- seems this should be more straight-forward as long as each of these Apple ID's are authorized.
Anyway, from what I can tell this is a bit of a problem, at least others seem to be having similar issues. So maybe Apple will make a change to support what I'm trying to do.
iPad is on V 6.1.3.
Thank you Kappy. I appreciate your help.

Jul 30, 2013 9:22 PM in response to SteveW99by Trey Ethridge,I'm having the same problem. I have a macbook pro running iTunes 11.0.4. I have an Apple TV which can stream movies from my macbook pro using home sharing. I have an iphone 4s and an ipad mini, both of which can't see the content from my itunes. I have configured home sharing on all devices, restarted my wifi router, restarted my macbook pro, killed the video app on the ipad and restarted, I also signed out of home sharing and signed back in. I'm at a loss as to why it won't show the content on my iphone and ipad.
