Q: Family plan, I have primary phone on plan. Wife's phone when sending photo txt to her gmail acct, goes to my phone. I do not even have a gmail acct.

Family plan, I have primary # w/o any email usage on my phone. Wife sends a photo via txt to her gmail acct. and I get the messege, why

Ok, that's the problem. You can share apple id for apps/music. However it is best to have separate apple id for icloud/facetime and imessage.

On both devices - go to settings - message - send&receive - either uncheck or remove the apple id.

then when you or your wife create a new apple id, you can input it in.
