Q: I can't open the battery compartment, seems to be wedged/screwed in wrong last time

In 2011,  I purchased an Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard to use with my MacBook Pro.    I had no issues with it, but then after quitting my job,  I did not use it for several months.   I recently  found that I would need to use it  for my new job,  only  it feels like I may have removed the batteries way back when.   However,  when I go to remove the endcap,  It seems to be  wedged,  I  mean REALLY  wedged!    I had my boyfriend try  to open it with a penny,  and he dented the penny  trying  with all of his  strength!   We stopped at that point,  as I don't want to strip the metal.   What can I do at this point?

Sounds like the end cap to the battery compartment was cross threaded.  About the only thing you can do is to use a screw driver with an appropriate blade. This will allow you to use more torque/force to unscrew the cap.  The threads may already be damaged beyond repair so you have nothing to lose.  The Bluetooth keyboard is aluminum, so the threads on the screw cap and aluminum body are relatively soft so they can be damaged fairly easily.
