What about a camera released a year ago? Should I get at least a bit upset fo the lack of support? Hope wit will come out soon.

Have you reprocessed the raw? (Photos > Reprocess Original)?

It is sometimes necessary after a raw update, if there was some change or improvement to the raw support.
