What makes you think you have malware? If you have anti-virus software installed and it is telling you that you are infected with malware, we need to know exactly what malware it says you're infected with (precise name, please) as well as what file it says is infected.

If you don't have anti-virus software, describe the symptoms that you are experiencing, and be aware that whatever they are, it's probably not related to malware at all.

Most malware is for Windows and won't affect a Mac.

So what you do is research the name of the malware and confirm that it is for Windows and simply Trash the file.

If it's a Mac malware, then that's another story, we would like to know what you've got so we can recommend a solution.

Don't trash the file. Depending on the anti-virus software and what the file is, trashing it without checking with an expert is a bad idea. It could be a false positive that is an important part of the system (seen that many times). It could also be an e-mail message in Mail, and deleting it in the Finder or from some other app will corrupt the index of the mailbox that message is in as well as potentially leave it on the server, and it could end up getting downloaded back to the computer again.
