I tried safe booting my Mac but it seemed to take forever. What's a reasonable amount of time?

Q: how long does a safe boot take?
How log is "forever"? Some computers are just slow booters, and can take up to a minut or two, sometimes 3 to boot at the extreme.... HOWEVER, a computer that takes, 7 - 15 minutes to boot definately has a problem.
