Thank you; I read that, but it seems to remove the entire application - I simply want to remove the duplicate icon that is floating around within the launchpad rather than delete the entire application......?

Hmm, from research, it would appear that Launchpad just looks for applications inside your applications folder... If the program works okay from outside the applications folder, Moving the application OUTSIDE of the applications folder will also remove it from the launchpad. I just tried it and it worked fine. But i had t copy and paste the .app file into a new location, and then delete the old one.
