Q: FCP 7

How can I reduce or eliminate video noise or gaininess in FCP 7? Is there a filter I can use?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

The NEAT Noise Reduction filter is very very good. Used it on my last show, quite a bit.

This is a really great filter! Thanks for recommending! Have a question...did you have any trouble rendering the clip once the filter was applied? I tried out the sample clip, went to render and the window just flashes and it doesn't render...thanks!

No trouble at all. Use it on your footage, not the sample. The sample is in a format FCP doesn't work with.
