Mar 11, 2013 10:53 AM in response to oldfruitby alberto182,Hi RoxR, it have the same problem you have syncing my music, the thing is that it is happening to me with iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 as well as in iOS 5.1.1.
Do you still have the same problem?

Apr 3, 2013 7:26 PM in response to RoxRby Jallison87,I'm having the same exact problem and it's super irritating!! I try to sync my iPhone and the sync process starts but then jumps from step 2 to step 6 and says it's finished but hasn't actually moved anything from my iTunes library to my phone. I've tried ALL of these suggestions and so far nothing has worked! HELP!

No music on my iPhone (IE: IPOD PHONE?!!)

May 16, 2013 10:23 AM in response to RoxRby claypaul,OK, JUST WENT THROUGH THIS. THIS IS WHAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT WHY I COULD NOT SEE MY VIDEOS ON MY OTHER DEVICES.
PRIME REASON: I had changed my e-mail address about 4 years ago and therefore changed my account information, in effect creating a 'new' account, so that was the main reason the music videos would not show on multiple devices when using icloud, those viseo were purchased under a different accout!
2. The work around was to go to the 'Music Videos' playlist in iTunes and rigt click on a video that has a cloud symbol with a line through it, click 'Get Info', go to 'Options' and change 'video' to a 'Movie', then you can sync when connected to your device under the 'Movie' tab.
3. Apple folks are aware you should not have to go to these extra steps to see a video and are working on a fix.
Hope this helps!

Jun 6, 2013 10:36 PM in response to RoxRby Chester Wood,My iPhone 4S (iOS 6.1.3) crashed and my music all disappeared. iTunes was confused and refused to resync the music (the blue Audio bar showed 0 bytes). Doesn't have to do with iTunes match--- I don't use it.
One thing I tried was to find the list of (greyed-out) songs on the phone in iTunes, try to play it and then resync. It seemed like it might work (the blue bar moved to the right where it should be) but once it synced again it went back to zero.
Another suggestion I found was to restore the phone from a backup then resync. I got stopped by a message:
There are purchased items on the iPhone “ManiPod” that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. If you restore this iPhone, these items will be erased and you will have to purchase them again. Are you sure you want to continue?
Since I had synced numerous times and done a manual backup, I couldn't imagine what would be on the phone that wouldn't have been transferred to iTunes, but I didn't want to continue. It would only be apps cause I don't think I've ever purchased music from the apple store. But wait, I thought the store kept a record of everything you purchase. Why would you have to purchase again?!?
Anyway, I found this thread, and what I did was uncheck "Sync only checked songs and videos", then sync. I also turned off wifi sync. It looked like it was going to work, but it only transferred the "unchecked" songs. Though at that point the blue bar showed 45 GB on the phone, which is about what it should be, but it wasn't really there.
Then I checked "sync only checked items" again and synced-- it removed those and I ended up once again with no music. I think mac itunes needs the "reset sync history" button that windoze has.
Now to try some other things. Uncheck "Convert higher bit rate songs to AAC". Hmmmm? Well, it syncs only those songs. How about "Manually manage songs and videos" and sync just one playlist? It erases everything but a few higher-bit-rate songs from that playlist.
That's about all I can see to try. iTunes is just convinced that all those songs are on there, though it's a bit schizoid about it. It knows they're not _really_ there cause they're greyed out and the blue bar shows (usually) what's actually there.
What next? There must be some plist somewhere of sync history that needs to be deleted.
Should I restore the phone at the risk I might lose some unknown purchase? (it really ought to tell you what those purchase are)

Jun 7, 2013 5:53 AM in response to Chester Woodby Homelake,iTunes has messed up my phone. I'm having the same problems with syncing and music disappearing. I'm just not going to buy music or anything else from Apple until this gets sorted out.

Jun 7, 2013 10:06 PM in response to Chester Woodby Chester Wood,Fixed --- it was the simplest thing. In the Music tab in my iPhone window in iTunes I unchecked “Sync Music”, synced, checked it again and synced and it finally copied all my music back onto the phone. Obvious but I didn't see it. Found it on this page which has a number of good hints for this and related problems.

Jun 11, 2013 7:34 AM in response to Chester Woodby jeffchoa,Just wanted to add an alternative experience to similar problem.
Devices:
iPhone 4S on 6.1.3 vs iTunes 11.0.4 on OS X 10.8.4 with iTunes Match set to "On"
Problem:
New playlist on iTunes on iMac could not update my playlist on iPhone via sync.
Solution:
iPhone - Settings - Music - iTunes Match ( please set to off )
Sync iPhone to iTunes ( system will copy latest library on to iPhone )
* if you still like iTunes Match to be on, then go iPhone - Settings - Music - iTunes Match ( please set to on )
Result:
New playlist on iTunes on iMac appears now on iPhone.

Jun 24, 2013 4:20 PM in response to RoxRby emmareno,I had the same problem....it started when i loaded an existing apple ID onto a different iPhone 4....for the last week I have tried everything on this forum and researched other sites and nothing resolved the issue.
I have resorted to erasing the phone AGAIN but then setting up a new apple ID....this worked instantly....I have a fully functioning iPhone 4. It's rubbish I had to do this but I really needed some music on there!
I can only presume my problem was with something on the profile of the other apple ID it's obviously not the phone or software or cable otherwise it would not have worked on a new ID...
hope this helps someone :)

Jun 30, 2013 3:41 AM in response to Chester Woodby MaFaulky,Thanks for your post Chester Wood. I wish I'd scrolled straight to the end of the conversation thread, to find such an easy solution. Deselecting sync music, then syncing worked perfectly for whatever bug was interfering with my sync. Wish I'd found this fix first, it could have saved me loads of time. Thanks again :)
