Q: kogan pre paid sim card in iphone4

I just changed over to a Kogan Mobile sim. I can not receive MMS messages (except if they are an imessage), and when i press my voicemail button, it rings a number and says is not available from this mobile service (my phone used to be with vodafone)??  Does anyone know how i can fix this problem?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

If you are in Australia why not say

This is WW forum and chances anyone outside Australia having a clue who you are talking about is slim.

However they are not a supported Apple carrier so it could be any reason .you will probably need to sort it out with them .Most likely is they do not support voicemail

Not all services are available on all Carriers.

Plus, you may need to update the APN for MMS.

Your issues are a result of Kogan being a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and your phone almost certainly has picked up the setings for Telstra.

As you are not a Telsra subcriber you are blocked from their data network

You need to change the Data setting to those recognised by Kogan (So they can charge you !)

Kogan Help line settings that need manually setting:-

For customers with iPhones, you may be able to change your APN settings by going to: Settings > General > Cellular Data Network.

You can also view this article on the Apple support site.

The APN Data Settings for Kogan Mobile are listed below:

    Combined Data and MMS setting

    Name: Mobile Data

    APN: mdata.net.au

    Proxy: (blank)

    Port: (blank)

    Username: (blank)

    Password: (blank)

    Server: (blank)

    MMSC: http://mmsc.mdata.net.au:8003

    MMS proxy: 10.1.1.180

    MMS port: 80

    MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0

    MCC: 505

    MNC: 01

    Authentication: (blank)

    APN type: default,dun,supl,mms

NB. The menu Cellular Data Nework is SIM card dependant - If your SIM card doesn't support it -This won't show up and you will need to contact Kogan either for a differing SIM card or for them to send you an SMS containing the necessaery profiles.

Thanks Keith, none of that info shows up in settings so I'll contact Kogan to get it sorted.
