I have been searching the forums here and haven't seen anything about this.

I want to unpair my new Apple TV remote from my late 2008 MacBook Pro. I'm running 10.8.3 currently. I never paired it originally with the MBP upon starting up my (recently purchased) Apple TV. It just seemed to pair on its own. I have looked under System Preferences/Security/General/Advanced for the option box to uncheck it but that option is not listed at all.

As far as I know the IR receiver is enabled but I do not see it under my system information but for the remote to be controlling my iTunes, it would have to be I am assuming...

I have also tried "pairing" it officially now with the MBP and did see the link icon appear on my screen. Then went back to sys pref/etc... and the option box still does not appear.

Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
