Jun 10, 2013 10:48 AM in response to Herfyby dalstott,I did some MacWrite conversions to Pages yesterday. I had some old records from 1989 to 1995 that were in ClarisWorks and MacWrite formats.
Pages would not open any files except AppleWorks 6. I had to convert by opening the MacWrite files in Claris Works and saving as CW files. I then I opened and saved the CW files as AppleWorks with AppleWorks 6. Now Pages could open and save the file as .pages.
This gets pretty involved as you need older computers to run the applications capable of converting the files. Luckily I have an iBook G4 with OS X 10.7.11 and Classic environment which did the most work.

Jun 21, 2013 12:18 PM in response to dalstottby Herfy,Hello,
I am not familiar with Pages or Claris Works or Apple Works. I've been searching the web. I think you are right...I need to get an old computer to open them or just consider them no good.
Thank You for your help.
