Are your Images based on RAW files?
Did you use _any_ in-camera settings? The problem is with either camera's files?
Do photos taken previously that look OK now look over-red?
Can you check some photos of light-skinned people and see if they, too, appear "lobstered"? This was a problem with OS X a while ago.
Can you upgrade you OS to the most current?

I have a macbook pro 17" and a thunderbolt, same on both best I can tell.
all RAW files
in camera settings? ummm not sure. I might have had landscape on, which I think causes some saturation. I have used it before and never noticed this.
I looked back at various older pics. The yellows and reds seem just a tad too strong for me.
No lobstered folks. Just took pics of my daughter same day at Dallas Blooms. She is a pale 19 year old, scandanavian skin (mom is half swedish). Her skin tones were actually nice, considering it was freaking 12 noon when I took these pictures. That could be a clue!
I keep everything upgraded the moment the upgrade is offered.

I'm still having this problem. I've scanned in 800 older photos. I have to lower the red in almost every photo. I recently went to Fort Worth botanical gardens. Reds are again way oversaturated. There is this brief moment where I can see the colors all look natural and balanced overall. Then Aperture is overlaying some kind of color profile (maybe?) that causes all the colors to slightly oversaturate, especially reds.
I'm using TIFF files for the scanned pics, combination of RAW and jpegs for the botanical pics. I didn't have this problem until maybe the last 12 months or less. I'm thinking there was some kind of upgrade to Ap3 and I noticed it after that.
I'm still using my 17" MBP and thunderbolt display.
Has anyone else had this problem and any idea how to fix this?

I shoot with a canon and have seen color/hue shft after raw conversion and previews are generated.
Problem started several months ago, a big PIA to correct the color cast.
Other Canon shooters on this forum have seen the same kind of issues
You don't mention what camera you were using.
