I am preparing a photo book using iPhoto 11 and would like to insert an image in the form of a concert ticket which I previously scanned, saved as a jpeg  and imported it iPhoto.  My intention was to use the saved image in the book, but the problem I have is that when I insert it into a selected theme, the image is heavily cropped, so much so that the only way to view all of the ticket was to insert it into a full page (bit wasteful and over the top).

After I scanned the 'ticket', I resized it using PSE 10 (reducing it in size physically), thinking this would allow it to fit into a space on the page of the book. Sadly this didn't work either.  Perhaps the resizing made the image smaller for printing purposes only?  I accept that the chosen layout can influence the extent to which the image is cropped.

Is there a way of dealing with this issue in iPhoto, or do I need to raise this in another forum (PSE for example)?  My aim would be to insert the ticket into a layout and for it to appear whole and not cropped.
