Just updated my MBP to 10.8.4 and 11.0.4, now my iPhone 5 doesn't sync:
I have my iPhone cable plugged into my Thunderbolt display, which is plugged into my MBP. Never had problems with this setup in the past.
Hm. I am having the exact same problem after upgradingon my MBP to 10.8.4 and iTunes 11.0.4 and my iPhone 5 doesn't sync. I also have the same iOS version of 6.1.4. Have you tried anything in the last day since this stopped working?
FYI, I simply:
1. Unconnected the phone from my computer.
2. Turned it off.
3. Turned it on.
4. Connected the phone backt to my computer.
Syncing occurs now.
This did not work, still get error code 1140, cannot sync both on iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
Rebooted both phone and MBP. No dice. Rebooted them again and cursed. That ended up working.
So, no root cause, but I'm happily synching now. I'm just happy to be "back."
