Hi, I'm having a problem unnesting keywords in the HUD. I cant seem to be able to drag it back between 2 keywords at a higher level. I'm sure I rememeber doing this in a previuos version of aperture but now I can only drop a keyword into another, not between. Am I missing something?

I cant seem to be able to drag it back between 2 keywords at a higher level.

You drag the keyword onto the name of the next level - Aperture will sort the keywords below. YOu do not arrange the order of the keywords.

For example - given the keywords

    living_things

    • animals
      •     cat
      •     dog
      •     mouse
    • flowers
      •     snowdrops
      •     tulips
      •     vegetables

To sort vegetables under living things, drag it onto the keyword living_things.

that will create a new subcategory. You could not move it between two keywords directly.

Hopping in ... ... Drag "Vegetable" to a blank space in the Keyword HUD to move it to the top level.  If there is no blank space, use Search to limit the display to, for example, "Vege" -- this should create some blank space into which you can drop the still-visible "Vegetables" keyword.

It's a quandary we all face eventually.  A UI failure, but easily mitigated.

    Glad to help.
