IOS 6.4 destroyed my signal...

I updated my Iphone5 from 6.0 to 6.4 three days ago in an attempt to make an app work (in hinsight i only needed to update the app in question).. Since updating my phone, i have had very poor signal with the often case of "no service" and before people ask.. the nearest 3G location to me is 23 miles away.. Prior to updating my phone, i would have constant 2-4 bars of signal and decent brousing capability without 3G, now i struggle to even get 1 bar and on occasion when i have 3 bars of signal, i still cannot acsess apps, sms messaging without it failing..

 

I have also experienced poor battery life since the upgrade.. and my Iphone connectivity since the upgrade has also been damaged by the slightest amount of rain, despite living 300m or less from a network mast..

 

Is there any way to revert the 6.4 upgrade and go back to 6.0? i have learnt my lesson not to upgrade Apple products, and have no interest in obtaining IOS7 on release.. I still use Itunes v7 for this reason.. Apple upgrades often are worse than the release products, as i have learnt from my Iphone

    It's not possible to transmit 3G for 23 miles... 8-15 is the max. So it make sense that you're having service issues.

     

    Who is your carrier?

    Have you talked to you carrier?

     

    Also, you cannot roll-back an iOS version.

     

    Have you tried a full network reset of your phone? (nothing is deleted)

    So you're using Edge? Not 3G, am I correct?

     

    What apps are you trying to use? What sites are you trying to visit in Safari?

    See the E in the photo? That's Edge/2G data service

    (At&t is an American carrier)

     

    If you don't have a data indicator that is 3G/E/o (GPRS) then your apps will not work.

     

    Do you have access to wifi? That may help relieve some of the internet issues with your apps.
