I just did the back up/restore using itunes, from iphone 4 to 5, but my messages, photos, and phone log all only transferrred through March 2.  I tried repeating the process, backing up old phone, then updating new one, and no change.  Also many apps didn't come through but I'll try fixing that via the App Store.

Not a big deal, but an odd omission, all three cutting off the same date.

if you restored from your backup and the only info on it was from march 2 and before, then you made a new backup of that phone, you would still only be able to restore the same information. did you mean that you backed up your 4 again, then restored from that backup onto your 5, and it's still only information from march 2 and before? just to be clear, if that's the case, is there information newer than from march 2 on your 4?

Where did you send your iPhone 4 backup, to iCloud or your computer?  Try reversing whatever you did.

I think the cloud as well as the computer may keep more than one backup, so maybe check your trying to restore from the correct one?

What I typically do, so long as everything is working right for me, is deleting my cloud backup completely (freeing up as much space there as possible) and then backing my phone up.
