Q: Problems with 23 inch DVI monitor after 10.8.4 upgrad

I have a "vintage" (if not obsolete) DVI 23 inch display monitor that has worked fine through the years until this most recent Mountain Lion upgrade to 10.8.4, at which time it started showing small green pixels, some swirling around the galaxy screensaver and also noticable on dark backgrounds, but totally not seen on lighter colors like this white background. Anybody else experiencing similar issues? Note - NOT showing up on my near vintage 2008 aluminum 13" MacBook

MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Hi George,

If you are having issues with unusual behavior from your external display after updating to 10.8.4 Mountain Lion, you may want to try the troubleshooting steps under "No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow," or flickering" in the following article:
