Migration Assistant makes a new user with the migrated data, so you have to log in that user. To do it, open  > Log Out, and log in this new user.

If you want to merge your users and you want to move your files from the new user to the old one, you can copy all your data to Shared folder, in Users, or you can use an external disk

They are in a new user account on your computer. If you open the /Users/ folder at the root directory you will see the second account. Log out of your current account, then log into the new account which uses the password you were using.
