The wall socket has earthing, the Spike Guard has earthing, and the extension cord that came along with the Macbook is 'supposed' to have earthing. However, where there should be a pin for earthing, there is just an empty hole with some kind of a connector. The local electrcian shops over here in Ahmedabad, India aren't able to figure out how it works. Can someone tell me how do I give earthing to my macbook pro? the static is so high that i get a shock in my ears when i talk on my iphone 5 plugged into to my macbook via usb! also, i can feel the shock at the edges.

here is a picture of what i have got.
