Hello!  Suddenly I cannot send messages (using Messages) via my iMac.  I can send them using my iPhone but not the Mac.  I am sending them to another person who also uses Messages on a Macbook and an iPhone, so I send them to her iCloud email address from my iCloud email address.  It has worked fine forever -  I send her a message and it goes to all her devices and I can see it on all of my devices.  Suddenly today, I can only send from my phone; if I send from the iMac, I get a red exclamation point that says:  "Your message could not be sent."  Any ideas about why the Mac Messages isn't working for me or what I need to do?

Thank you!

Try sending the message to her phone by adding her number in the contact. It should register her as an iMessage user.

Thanks CalebLA!  That didn't work, but after I tried that, I did get it to work by changing some settings on my Messages account on my Mac and then restarting the computer (again).  Very weird and annoying, since nothing had changed before the problem, but at least it seems to be fixed.  Thanks for the help!
