Q: MacBook Air ordered on Monday, status: Cancelled - Replaced with a new product

Thanks for the update.  My status just went back to normal too.  No shipping notification yet but my delivery estimate is still the same despite the delay email I referred to earlier (18-20 June! - Shipping is Ireland - UK so I'm not hopeful it will fulfil in original time scale).

I'll update when it ships and if it arrives within original delivery estimate.

Thanks balken07 - It seems we're all in the same boat - My configuration is max in all but storage -> i7, 8GB RAM but stuck with 256GB SSD.

My MBA is 100% the same config as you have ordered. Your previous status changes also are identical to mine. Yesterday evening my order changed tot 'preparing for shipment'. My estimated delivery dates are june 19-21 though. But that's probably because I live in The Netherlands :)

When I get notified of any changes I will let you know!

I walked into the Apple store Lakeside (UK) and picked up the i7 8gb 512gb 13" version also.

Just got lucky they had it in stock Tuesday morning.

I didn't know the retail stores also sell BTO macs

We have a business account, but when I phoned with the spec I wanted I didnt expect my account manager to say he had one in the pile at that spec.

Can't wait to get my hands on it. It's my first Air :)

Haha I definitely will love my Air :D I'm really excited to enter the SSD-era for storage. And now with PCIe it's even faster than the SATA interface in previous models.

Actually, longer! I used it for 10 straight hours (just because) yesterday and it was taken down to only 52%, with a remainder time of 8.35 hours of battery left! It sure seems to me that they last WAY OVER 12 hours!!

That's great battery life! Mine won't be as good as yours probably because the i7 consumes 5-10% more power. But it won't be that much of a difference I suppose :)

My Air has been shipped! However delivery is now on june 25 ._.
