Hi I was receiving my mail through Apple's Mail program this morning and noticed 7 messges being sent out that I never wrote. I tried to stop and couldn't stop them. Any suggestions or ideas?
These messages are in the Sent mailbox? Do you recognize the contents or the recipients?
No they are not in my send box.
Then how do you know messages are being sent?
Mail Activity says messages are being sent out. Gives you a number and name of message. I didn't have time to write down the names. Could stop them from going out. Although I tried.
This can happen if your mail program syncs with icloud. Maybe you have sent mails from a different device (iPhone, iPad, or directly from the icloud website)?
Mail doesn't spontaneously create messages and send them on its own. If you have a rule that automtatically forwards incoming mail, or a scheduled Automator task that sends mail, that could explain what you saw.
