Q: I did a back-up and then restored my iPhone 4S, AT&T did a unlock so that I can use the phone in China...The back-up & restore was complete...Do I need to do anything else, other then take it to a carrier here in China?

You need to connect to iTunes and use the "Restore iPhone" button, NOT the "Restore from Backup". When the Restore completes you should get a message "Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked"
