Jun 19, 2013 8:10 AM in response to charlotte_dtlby Lawrence Finch,Double-press the HOME button to reveal the Quick Launch ribbon at the bottom of the screen. Hold any icon until a "-" appears on the icons, then tap each "-" to close the app and free the memory it uses. Do this for all of the apps. When done reset the phone by holding the HOME and SLEEP buttons until the Apple logo appears. What this will do is clean up memory fragmentation, which can cause the phone to slow down. If this does not resolve the problem post back; there are other things to try.

Jun 19, 2013 8:19 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby charlotte_dtl,Thank you for your advice but I've been doing this for ages. This isn't the issue. I've actually spoken to my network provider and they have told me to restore my phone via iTunes (I had actually just put my iPhone 4 to restore factory settings VIA the iPhone which is apparently not the same). So I will give the iTunes a go and then let you know what happens from there. Thank you.
