How do you make labels in pages?

    KD,

It's a difficult question to answer since we don't know what kind of labels you plan to use or if you hope to somehow get the data to flow from your contacts or  some other database or if you will be typing them into the label fields directly.

You'll need to match the layout of the label sheets in any case. You can do this by downloading a Word template for the label type you plan to use.

Update on Peter's linked article: Yvan's scripts are now stored in his Box account. The link will take you there. The rest of the path is as described in the iwork tips&tricks article.

seriously we have to go to outside private links?   I can't believe that Apple doesn't have merging feature.  What am I missing?

I have the label template from Avery

I have a numbers spreadsheet (also have it in excel)

    I have pages

    Please go step by step....

btw - I've been merging with excel and word for years - I don't get the Apple process yet.

    Thanks for any basic help

    You are duplicating posts.

You do want to know how to do it ?

I created the iWorkTipsnTricks blog exactly for people such as yourself who won't read the manual, but apparently also don't want to read the explanation anywhere else either.

I am happy to read the manual - I want the information - I don't know where it is on the apple website.

I want the detailed instructions and options. the links I've gone too don't give me the information i need.

i'm getting there but theres some basic something that I'm missing....augh!!!!  when I figure it out you are going to think..duh!  I'm going to try it without an avery template. but why does apple make use define the margins? I'm trying to embrace mac products but so far.....my mind thinks in windows terms. give me some time with your instructions.

You can have zero margins if you wish, unless you are talking about the fact that Pages has tada! …pages!

None of which has anything to do with this problem.

We try hard to make the step-by-step actually step-by-step.

If there is a step you don't get we won't ever know until you actually tell us.

So what is it you are "missing", so far it is also missing from your posts.

I responded on the other post so that I'm not duplicating posts.
