Q: Blue screen after restarting Macbook after seemingly successful install.

I successfully installed Snow Leopard on my Macbook. Then I successfully installed Office for Mac 2011. After rebooting, my Macbook has a blue screen. I used my last license on Office. Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling everything?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

    Startup in Safe Mode

Then check System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items

Delete any items listed there then restart your Mac.

If you don't see anythiing listed under Login Items, go ahead and click the Apple menu icon top left in the screen then click Restart from the drop down menu. Safe Mode deletes system caches that may help also.

A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.

It started in Safe Mode with no problem. Nothing was listed in the Login Items, so I restarted the computer. Same thing... :-\
