Q: FaceTime ICON has disappeared from iphone 4

You know the Face Time icon?  I have a new IPhone 4 and just did my first backup to my iMac last night and today noticed the Face Time icon disappeared from my screen.

NOW---before you try to give me the "turn it on" deal.....it IS turned "ON" in settings and I have NO restriction on it in my restrictions....yes, my camera is also on and no restrictions.  Seems like that tended to be most everyone else' problem easily solved.

ANY suggestions on how to get the convenient icon back?? (Besides the pain of totally deleting my stuff to factory settings and starting from scratch.)

Thank you very much!

"You know the Face Time icon?  "

No.  iphones do not have a Facetime icon, never have.

As the manual explains, you access facetime via contacts.  Select a contact, scroll down to the facetime button.

FaceTime is not a separate app on the iPhone.  See...

Weird!  My iPhone 4 came with a FaceTime icon on the very first page!! Okay, so that was a fluke which is why when updated it took it away? It is not supposed to be there for convenience??  I DO KNOW about the location by the contacts, but I thank you for that in case I did not.

Yes, I understand it is not a separate app. Thanks.

My confusion came from my new iPhone had this icon (useable) on the front page. I guess it was some weird fluke as someone posted it was not supposed to be there. My first registration and backup to my iMac, it disappeared.  Thank you

This was solved....actually, nothing was wrong, but I thought it was as I oddly had a Facetime ICON on the front page of my phone lol.  Go figure.  Anyhow, I'd like to thank the thoughtful helpful people who kindly replied and were not so frustrated they "yelled in caps" at me :-D  Love to you and all helpful kind generous Support forum people who do the helpful acts of kindness.

Also:  I am not new to iPhone, but anyone who is brand new to iPhone may enjoy this blog if you don't like reading the comprehensive manuals that Apple DOES provide online.

I don't kow that young man but he seems to have a nice little well written site up. ;-)
