Hi community,

How can I have two different videos start on the same Keynote slide? The settings (start when clicked or not) seem to apply to both at once. Thanks! Eric

    Hi,

I think you need to add a build to each video. Go via the inspector, the third icon along the top.

Click one video, click on Build In and make the effect start movie.

Then do the same with the others.

Then you can change the settings of the build, its something like that!

Inspector > Builds > Build in > select an effect from the Effect  dropdown menu

click on; more options and in the Build Order list:

    select the first video

select the start build from the drop down menu as;  automatically after  transition

set a delay of at least 1 second

select the second video in the Build Order list

select the start build from the drop down menu as;  automatically after build 1

set a delay of at least 1 second

Thanks! I am wanting something more basic: to just have the option to click play on each video when I want,

    create two slides

on slide 2, using the finder, drag and drop the video on to the slide and position it

on slide 1, place a shape on the slide

Inspector > Hyperlink > enable as hyperlink > link to: slide > click the slide number option > select slide 2

is there a way to keep an audio trigger visible on the screen? At least with the video screens, once they have each played once I can go back and forth between them easily. But the audio link seems wholly invisible.

There is no audio link untill you create one. Use the same procedure  for triggering video as described above.

The two slides option doesn't make sense to me, and I am hoping is not necessary.

The  method for creating any presentation in Keynote  is to place an image on each slide and transition between  two slides to create a slide show.

What you have asked is to manually select to play between 2 video files.

This is a classic selection menu;  two buttons on a slide, clicking one of the buttons plays your choice, after video plays it will return to the menu to enable the user to select the second video. Simple quick and it works fine.
