HT4864: iCloud: Mail server settings for email clients

Learn about iCloud: Mail server settings for email clients

HT4864 Incoming mail server is grayed out, can't change it to the proper "imap.mail.me.com". What's up with this? I've run into it on two computers in the last few days.

Grayed out Incoming Server reads "mail.example.com" when setting up a new iCloud account,  so can't change it to the right one. My .Mac mail no longer working after being away for a couple of weeks. Also, tried to set up a new Ipad for someone and the same thing happens: Grayed out Incoming Server address is unchangeable but it reads "p10. icloud.mail.com" or something.

Thoughts, anywone?
