In iTunes 11.04, where exactly onthe screen is the "remote button" one needs to push to pair iTunes with an Android control device?

iTunes cannot be paired with an Android device, it is only for syncing and sharing of media with other Apple devices.

FYI, there is no remote button and nothing in the referenced document says "remote button".

This is enough to drive the Good Humour man nuts. I'm not trying to synch, just trying to control iTunes with my

Samsung Smart phone, which does so perfectly fine at home. I am now at a second location, connected to the

wi-fi, and the document I quoted says exactly what I and pepperc said it does. It won't let me "copy" it, but my quote re a remote button is exact. Have you READ the document? If so, we are looking at different documents.

What is the title of the document you are READing? Is it in iTunes Help?

Have you read the document? It says "About Remote app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch". If you have an app for your Samsung that allows you to control iTunes on your computer, you need to read the documentation that came with that app. It's not provided by Apple and so Apple will have nothing to say about it.

    Regards.

Oy!!! I am looking at "Use the Remote app to control your iTunes Library"  from the iTunes Help Center. If you

open this, then drop down and click on "Pair Remote with an iTunes library", it will show four steps, #3 of which tells you to "Open iTunes on your computer and click the Remote button" and shows a symbol like a "play" button. My Samsung does steps 1 and 2 just fine, shows me the four digit code and invites me to type it into iTunes. THIS WORKED AT HOME! So where did the "Remote button" go? As Anna Russell says when she tells Wagner story lines, "I'm not making this stuff up!"

Samsung Help gets you to the same place; hit the Remote buttton in iTunes and type in the 4 Digit code.

Again, the instructions are for the Remote app on an iOS device, and requires Home Sharing. These instructions will not work with an Android device since an Android device does not support Home Sharing. If you have some sort of remote capability from your Android device at home, it's because of some additional software.

You need to take this issue up on a site dedicated to support of your Android phone.

I have an iPod Touch, Remote app, Home Sharing, and am trying to connect it to my iTunes on computer as well.  I also cannot find the "remote" button as referenced in the Help instructions.  So not just an issue with Android devices.

As has been stated multiple times, there is NO REMOTE BUTTON.  Please actually read the article from which the question was posted and follow the steps provided.

Laxosaurus, if reading the support article does not help, I would suggest you start your own thread and ask for assistance. You're unlikely to get help here since this thread has long since been in essence closed out.
