I have an HP LaserJet 1212nf MFP and with some updates by Apple to OSX, I cannot scan from the HP software. I have contacted Apple and HP and both say they are aware of the issue but no fix is yet available.
I installed the update and each time i do, it works till i turn off the Mac. Once i do that and reboot, the same issue appears, "scanner not connected". The HP software worked fine for a couple of months until there was an OSX update and i have had the problem ever since.
Hmm... The OS update may have broken the IIC drivers for the printer. If this were the case, the only thing you could do is wait for an update through Apple Software Updates. What update was it that caused this problem?
