Q: using my canadian ipad in the uk- is it possible?

My ipad is unlocked, i bought it directly from Apple and now I'm going to the UK and wish to take it with me and access the internet with it while abroad.

Is it possible?

Can I buy a pre-paid carrier card (data card for example) and use it with my iPad?

None of the iPads are locked. If it is a supported carrier, yes, you can use a sim and use it pretty much anywhere in the world.
