I've had this issue on three out of the four replacement iPhones I got within the same week. They will do one of two things in the store. 1. They replace it for you and the replacement will likely have the same issue forcing you to take the phone back to the store the next day. 2. They open up the phone to tighten a screw near the lock button so that it works but still doesn't feel right and you might also notice problems with the lock screen. This is just from my experience anyways. Quality control on the replacements seems to be very poor

    Go to Settings>General>Acessibility>Assistive Touch

Turn that ON, once you have done so, a white square/circular icon will pop up onto your screen. If you click it, click on DEVICE and hit the button that says LOCK screen, your phone will now be locked. Since your lock button is now broken, I would advise for you to ocassionally restart your phone, maybe a few times a month, to prevent it from lagging, you can do this by hitting the White square/circular button>Device, and holding down the Lock screen button a for a few seconds, and powering it off. To turn it back on, simply plug your phone back into the charger.

Take the phone to the apple store but in the meanwhile, Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > Switch it ON > Tap the white circle in the grey box that should of just appeared on your screen > Click Device > Lock Screen. I hope this helps.
