Q: Will Migration Assistant for OS 10.4 and OS 9.1 replace the OS and files?

I have 2 PowerBook G4s which I have used for different purposes. One has OS 10.4 and the other has OS 10.4 and OS 9.1. I would now like to replace everything on the one with only 10.4 with the stuff on the one that has 10.4 and 9.1.

Can I use Migration Assistant to replace everything including the system so that I will have both 10.4 and 9.1 on both computers (both computers will mirror each other)?

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Thanks for your patience. I have never used the erase...scares me! I guess I should use CCC for backup in case I screw it up. Also, thanks for the link to "bless". I never heard that term before. Some time ago tried to reinstall 9.1 into one of my powerbooks but it never worked. Maybe it was because it needed to be "blessed".

Disk Utility will not erase the partition you have booted from.

    Backup is best.

Be careful.  Measure twice. Cut once.
